Testowane na zwierzętach czy nie?
Skala testów przeprowadzanych na zwierzętach przekracza wszelkie wyobrażalne granice. Część z tych badań jest wykonywanych w celach farmaceutycznych i te są wręcz nakazane prawem w wielu krajach. Duża ich część jednak to testowanie produktów kosmetycznych i chemii użytkowej, co jest nie do przyjęcia. W większości przypadków badania te są wielokrotnie powielane w różnych ośrodkach, powiększając skalę cierpień zwierząt. Wielokrotne teksty tych samych składników (!) nie chronią jednak konsumetów, gdyż wyniki badań w przemyśle chemiczno-kosmetycznym nie są wiążące - szkodliwe składniki często bywają mimo wszystko włączane do składu produktów dla ludzi, zaś wyniki niekorzystne bywają ukrywane przez lata.
Przy obecnym stanie wiedzy i istniejących technologiach nie ma usprawiedliwienia dla testowania tego typu produktów na zwierzętach. To, co my wszyscy możemy zrobić, to konsekwentnie wybierać w sklepach szampony, kremy, proszki do prania czy pasty do zębów nie testowane na zwierzętach.
Firmy, które mają szacunek dla zwierząt, mają też większy szacunek dla ludzi!
Poniżej znajdziecie dwie listy, listę firm, które nie testują na zwierzętach i listę tych, którzy testują. Listę można sobie wydrukować lub spisać i nosić ze sobą, aby w czasie zakupów pamiętać o niej. Warto też w sklepie pytać o produkty nie testowane na zwierzętach, żeby sprzedawcy wiedzieli, że dla kupujących jest to istotny czynnik w podejmowaniu decyzji o zakupie konkretnego towaru. Należy też pamiętać, że na liście znajdują się zarówno duże korporacje, sygnujące wiele produktów, jak i małe firmy, a nawet linie konretnych wyrobów.

Wiele z polskich firm chętnie podkreśla, iż ich produkty nie są testowane na zwierzętach (na etykietach, rzadziej na stronach internetowych, w odpowiedzi na e-mailowe zapytania; tylko Pollena-Ewa nie odpowiedziała na mój e-mail, ale ponieważ wiele poważnych źródeł podaje, że nie testują, to umieściłam ich na liscie).

Testowane na zwierzętach czy nie?
Skala testów przeprowadzanych na zwierzętach przekracza wszelkie wyobrażalne granice. Część z tych badań jest wykonywanych w celach farmaceutycznych i te są wręcz nakazane prawem w wielu krajach. Duża ich część jednak to testowanie produktów kosmetycznych i chemii użytkowej, co jest nie do przyjęcia. W większości przypadków badania te są wielokrotnie powielane w różnych ośrodkach, powiększając skalę cierpień zwierząt. Wielokrotne teksty tych samych składników (!) nie chronią jednak konsumetów, gdyż wyniki badań w przemyśle chemiczno-kosmetycznym nie są wiążące - szkodliwe składniki często bywają mimo wszystko włączane do składu produktów dla ludzi, zaś wyniki niekorzystne bywają ukrywane przez lata.

Listę można sobie wydrukować lub spisać i nosić ze sobą, aby w czasie zakupów pamiętać o niej. Warto też w sklepie pytać o produkty nie testowane na zwierzętach, żeby sprzedawcy wiedzieli, że dla kupujących jest to istotny czynnik w podejmowaniu decyzji o zakupie konkretnego towaru. Należy też pamiętać, że na liście znajdują się zarówno duże korporacje, sygnujące wiele produktów, jak i małe firmy, a nawet linie konretnych wyrobów.
